- “Eurofix” Loran-C communications specification submitted to ITU (United Nations international standards group). This is extremely important for the acceptance and expansion of Loran-C communications services.
- Eurofix is operational on 4 NELS transmitters
- US has a different scheme under test as part of the FAA program to support WAAS.
- Can be accommodated in ITU standard
- Either system can broadcast timing data and support GPS/Loran
